The pictures are finally in....

I know, I know..... I haven't been posting for a while. Between him working two jobs, playing hockey and being sick for nearly a month, I really haven't seen the outside of the hockey bag very much... But while you all have been waiting, he has received the pictures from our skate at Fenway park. That's right, THAT Fenway park.

So he puts a disk in the computer for me, and he has almost 200 pictures from the game at Fenway.... So many pictures to go through... So here are a few of them, and tell me I don't look GREAT perched on his head...

Here is a nice kick save, notice the lack of defensive players and the abundance of offensive players... this is the Bison way....

Next we have Uncle Dave.... notice the great form in his shot... The balance is good... the weight transfer is good... the hands are perfectly placed on the stick.... the eyes are looking at where he is shooting.... the follow through is flawless.... only one thing Uncle Dave.... You forgot to do all of that with the puck this time... for those of you not paying attention, the puck is still at his feet....

We did get a pleasant surprise for this game at Fenway Park, former NHL referee and one time NHL player Paul Stewart. He was good and was having fun while refereeing the game... case in point, after one of the team's defense-men blocked a shot from the point, he skated up to us and told us that we owed number 48 a beer.... I told him I owed him two because number 48 usually knocks that shot into my net....

Here is Bison El-Capitan Mike... Not only is he the most senior member of the team and team captain, he is also one of the best water and puck boys I have ever seen...

I just like this picture... he has nearly perfect form.... he can stand to keep that glove held up a little higher, but in his defense, the shot was low on the glove side.... maybe the glove is just a little faster than the rest of his parts...

I hope to post more often, especially now that he is not sick any more and the weather is warming up.

Now for some more great news..... he tells me that we are headed to another historic sports arena to play hockey.... he wont tell me where yet, but he bought a flag....

Stuck in the bag...

So he has had me stuck in that over-sized bag with all that other smelly ass equipment, and, it seems that I can only get out to play hockey or air out between games.... He has been doing the occasional pick up group and alternating Bison games with some punk kid with a plain blank mask, I have character.... I could go on an on about the life in the bag and skating, but I have bigger news...

So this past weekend while airing out in his apartment, I over hear that he is going to be bringing me some place special for Christmas.... He knows how much of a Boston Redsox fan I am, let's it out that we are going to be playing a game at Fenway Park... YES, that Fenway Park... I have never been there, mostly because they don't let hockey equipment into the park during baseball season, but I love watching it on TV. A little background on the playing hockey at Fenway Park... The Boston Bruins are playing the annual Winter Classic, an outdoor game played in a venue that is not built for hockey. On January 1st, 2010, they will be playing the Philadelphia Flyers. As part of this they are allowing organizations, at a huge cost, play on the ice. He is going to play with me on December 21st at 8 PM. The park will be open for people wanting to come watch me play, free admission and there will be concession stands open serving things like hot coco and coffee...

So I made him go shopping for something special to commemorate the occasion... I have hat to keep me warm while playing outside. A cool Redsox hat...
